Short description
The main square is to become more "child- and environmentally friendly"; the surroundings of the fountain will be designed as a "recreation area for schoolchildren"; additional seating areas will be established. Directly in the area of the department store there will be a bicycle parking area with an charging station for electric bicycles; in addition, a charging station for electric cars will be set up. The electricity for the charging stations will be generated through the newly planned photovoltaic system on the gymnasium of the elementary school.Point of departure
Through the framework of the working group `Infrastructure, Building, Settlement, Housing`, the redesign of the main square in St. Martin was discussed and worked on together with the residents.During a public event on 25 June 2009, a proposal was presented to the residents and put up for discussion. Different wishes and ideas were still incorporated into the planning.
