Short description

The desire of consumers to buy regional products, to know where they come from and to know the people behind them, is becoming ever stronger. This trend is also noticeable in the Weinviertel.
With the PRO.dukt Weinviertel project, significant steps were taken to increase added value and appreciation of regional products.
The Weinviertel has an enormous variety of products in addition to the Weinviertel DAC. Highlighting this range and raising awareness of Weinviertel products in the Weinviertel itself was a key component of the project.
For example, an online product database on was developed, constructed and filled with data. Through this database, it is now always possible for customers to get an overview of the large product range of the Weinviertel.
The construction of the platform was also an essential part of the project. The website of KOST.bares Weinviertel serves as an information platform, where a lot of information about the treasures of the Weinviertel can be found in one place.
The networking of the producers of the Weinviertel with each other and an interdisciplinary exchange between the Weinviertel farms were made possible by KOST.bares Weinviertel.
An important goal of the LEADER region is the sensitization of children to the topic of regional products. Through the development of teaching materials and school competitions for children, a first step towards more awareness on Weinviertel products was made.
