Short description
The topic forest and raw material wood should be brought closer to all pupils on the basis of different modules. A preparation and adaptation according to the curriculum covers many subjects (biology, ecology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, arts, works and shaping). The modules include: Supervised museum visits to the museum Holzmuseum on a wide variety of topics, variably adapted to the curriculum and needs, and practice-oriented, experience worthy and exciting activity programmes in indoor and outdoor areas.
The combination of theory and practice is intended to stay permanently in the memory of pupils and make fun. The most important milestone should be that all pupils in the district of Murau acquire a comprehensive knowledge of wood and forests.
In addition to primary schools, secondary schools in the district of Murau (BORG Murau, HLW FSB Murau, Fachschule für Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft Schloss Feistritz) are to be included in the project.
