Short description
The ‘beer pharmacy’ in the village of Murau (former Salvator pharmacy in the Anna-Neumann-street) is an 18th century pharmacy in the heart of the old town. The building itself is approx. 800 years old and probably represents the oldest house in Murau. The venerable building has partly to be renovated and furnished accordingly. The ‘beer pharmacy’ should be an example about how old buildings can be renovated, preserved and used in a meaningful way. In addition to the health care effects of moderate beer consumption, visitors will also be informed about which natural products from the region have a healing effect on the body. Several health care products from the region can be purchased in the ‘beer pharmacy’. The beer pharmacy is to reflect, among other things, by the intended use of wood the wood city and by the beer and its enjoyment the beer city.
