Short descriptionThe cinema of spices is integrated into the old stable vault and is a multimedia experience room in which craftsmanship is in the foreground.
The visitor is conveyed the fascinating path from cultivation to harvesting and processing of the aromatic plants. This also encompasses the production of a movie and a photo documentation. There will also be showcases, exhibition objects, special light effects and seating areas to provide visitors with an experience out of the ordinary.
Point of departureBecause of the new construction and extension of the warehouse and the production facility, the vault in the old stable building became free. Due to the increasing number of visitors (pensioner groups, student groups, farmers' associations, women's groups, company groups, etc.), it was decided to increase the offer accordingly and to use the space to build a spice cinema.
Targets and target groupsOnly well advertised products are bought by consumers. Over the past few years, it has become apparent that the most sustainable form of advertising is a direct visit to our enterprise. The expansion and conversion of the excursion room into a cinema of spices is intended to offer visitors a unique adventure. In addition to the presentation of the company, the main focus will be on the produced spices. Sensitization and awareness raising regarding the importance of agricultural work and the Austrian economy should take place.
Project implementation and measuresThe cinema of spices is an experience made through all senses (especially smelling through scent vaporization). The spice plants are presented in showcases.
The room is outfitted with multimedia equipment to show visitors the exciting path from cultivation to harvesting and processing of the spice plants. This also includes the production of a film and a photo documentation. There will also be showcases, show objects, special light effects and, of course, seating accommodations. Folders and a roll-up were purchased for advertising the excursion room at fairs.
The outdoor area was adapted to improve the overall appearance of the excursion room.
Adaptation and modification of the grinding plant was made to continue the production process.
An additional aspect is the raising of awareness for the sustainable use of regional resources and the importance of traditional crafts.
Visitors should then be made aware that Austrian products not only taste better but also make a valuable contribution to the economy.
Results and effectsIn 2017 the company was already visited by approx. 2000 people through organized excursions. For 2018 there is already a good booking situation.
The Cinema of Spices will be an experience for visitors and will also be advertised through corresponding marketing measures in newspapers, on the homepage, at touristic tour operators, technical schools and on social media platforms.
The expansion of the economic region of the Innviertel is particularly important for achieving balanced territorial development and the rural economy, as population density and job development are stagnating or slightly declining. An attractive range of diverse experiences is therefore enriching for the entire region (new jobs, added value in the region, stimulation of tourism). The adapted excursion room (cinema of spices) will show visitors the way of working, the regional significance of cultivation and the cultural significance of agricultural work. In addition, the visit of customers at the company location creates a special bond. Product loyalty and the recognition value of the products are strengthened. Through the multimedia presentation, the plants are depicted to the visitors throughout the year and can be experienced with all senses. Visitors can thus identify much better with the brand of Schneiderbauer and buy products while being more conscious.
