Children's climbing park Kirchschlag

Short description

In Kirchschlag, a special climbing park for children from the age of three was built with the support of LEADER. In an altitude of 1.7 to 3.5 metres, colourful rope obstacles have to be overcome between tree houses.

This promotes psychomotoric development, the sense of balance and coordination. Safety nets protect against falls, so that no additional equipment is necessary and the children can move freely and independently through the course. People with disabilities are also not excluded. On an area of 1500 square meters 14 different stations are to be explored. The park serves as an additional offer to the existing high ropes course and is a LEADER project of the Sterngartl Gusental region.

Point of departure

In the excursion forest Breitenwald there is an existing high ropes course, which can only be explored by teenagers and adults. The family clientele was reached through the children's climbing park and physically handicapped people can also participate in the nature experience.

Project implementation and measures

The concept was developed together with the people in charge of tourism, gastronoms and the hotel sector and in coordination with the municipality. Only sustainable materials were used to guarantee the nature experience in the forest.
