Short description

Supply of 4 single-family homes with green energy (short-distance heat – renewable energy)

Point of departure

Individual logwood heating system

Targets and target groups

Heating at low cost, ecologically sound and regionally

Project implementation and measures

In the former stable of the farm a 85 kW biomass boiler is installed. The wood chips storage room with fuel discharge is attached outside. Those purchasing heat are all year round supplied with heat via plastic heat pipes and heat transmission stations with buffer storage tanks. In most cases by regional companies.

Results and effects

● Working procedure simplified
● Thermal use of residual wood from farm forests
● Securing farm jobs
● Employment of local enterprises
● Reduction of CO2 emissions
● Improvement of the air quality due to the replacement of old central heating systems
