Short description
A heating and storage room is integrated into a farm building. The heat generation takes place by means of a 150 kW biomass boiler plant with rotation worm, puffer tank and solar plant. Two multi-storey residential buildings with a total of 20 flats, the municipal office, the kindergarten and two one-family houses have been connected.Point of departure

Heating in a cheap, ecological and regional wayProject implementation and measures
Thermal energy is flowing via a 440 m long short-distance heat network to the customers and is measured and charged by means of heat meter. In order to reduce the boiler start a buffer has been installed which is also loaded by a solar plant. In order to reduce grid losses and pump electricity costs in summer buffer tanks are only loaded at the customers’ if required. The first expansion level was taken into operation in autumn 2009. The further expansion took place in spring 2010 with the connection of further clients.
Results and effects
● Thermal utilisation of farm-based residual forest wood ● Safeguarding of farm-based jobs
● Employment for local enterprises
● Reduction of CO2 emissions
● Improvement of the air quality by means of the replacement of old central heating systems
