Short description
The extreme storm event of 29 July 2008 caused, among other things, wind breakage in the area surrounding the B-road L13 Sellraintalstrasse, which necessitated clean-up, in particular the removal of disrooted trees.
Targets and target groups
As a medium- to long-term measure it will in any case be necessary to close the open vegetation covers. It is vital to remove all the trees utilised, the roots and branches lying on the roadside and in the immediate sphere of influence of the road without delay.
Project implementation and measures
Removal of the damaged trees, restoration of the forest road, slope stabilisation by means of erosion control mats and afforestation with slope-stabilising and water-extracting tree species.
Results and effects
Highly satisfactory and effective immediately – excellent planting success.
